What would possess a normally sane person to get in the water with this
voracious predator?
Researchers,
adventure seekers, underwater photographers
and videographers have been diving with sharks for many years, but you
don't even need to be a scuba diver to observe these amazing animals
underwater. All shark dives are experienced from the safety of a strong
metal cage, so participants are well protected. The air is supplied
using
a hookah system instead of scuba tanks, making this adventure open to
both divers and non-divers alike.
Guadalupe
Island has quickly become the world’s best destination for observation,
photography and video of great white sharks. The sharks are
very curious animals and the clear water around Guadalupe is the
perfect place to observe
them. The visibility is often
more than 100’ and the water temperature averages between 65F-70F.
The
Solmar V combines adventure and luxury, offering
"limited
load" trips which provide a quality
experience for our clients by maximizing cage time and onboard comfort.
We operate two 4-man cages, using a proprietary swivel system which hooks
to our swim platform, making it very easy and safe to get in and out
of our cages even in rough weather.
